We are happy to design a pond or water feature to suit your budget. We can work with your landscaper, directing installation, assist you in doing the job, or install it for you.

Aquaria Services Inc. custom builds filtration systems to provide both mechanical and biological filtration. Our filtration systems will fit the needs of the pond including water volume; superb clarity and expected or ideal fish load, always keeping in mind ease of maintenance. Regular easy maintenance greatly reduces the algae growth and the need for total pond cleanouts. This saves money in the long run.

Aquaria Services, Inc specializes in the design and installation of koi ponds, water gardens and filtration systems. In addition to designing and installing, we also renovate existing ponds and upgrade filtration systems. We specialize in keeping your pond healthy and your fish healthy and visible.

Water Gardens and Koi Ponds

Water gardening is using water in your landscape to create a peaceful, relaxing place. Water gardening is becoming all the rage in gardening. Letting the relaxing, soothing sounds of running water ease your mind and take away the tension. Water gardens create a natural focal point in any landscape.

Water plants and fish also add to the enjoyment of having a pond. We deliver and install bog plants, water lilies, ornamental goldfish, domestic and/or Japanese koi. Fish are subject to availability. The recommended stocking load is: Goldfish - 1 Adult per 100 Gallon & Koi - 1 Mature fish per 500 Gallon

A proper understanding on filtration, water chemistry, plumbing, rock placement and many other components needed to complete this project. If you aren’t sure about any of these you may need to hire an expert.

Pond Services

Maintaining a pond is the key to keeping a pond crystal clear and your fish healthy. Aquaria Services, Inc offers a comprehensive service plan to maintain every part of your pond.

Pond conditions, size, design complexity & difficulty of access affect actual price. Equipment repair & replacement are additional charges.

Pond Cleanouts/Muckouts

Pond Cleanouts is a process where you remove the fish, water from the pond and clean all of the dirt and debris from the pond. You refill the pond, acclimate the fish and release them in the pond for the season.

Springtime is best for this service

Disconnect the plumbing

Drain the pond (this water is great to fertilize plants)

Catch the fish

Remove debris and wash the pond making sure to wash as much out as possible – rinse many times to make clean

Clean all of the filters and filter pads

Refill the pond, dechlorinate, add Beneficial bacteria, and acclimate fish

RELAX AND ENJOY THE POND FOR ANOTHER YEAR

Pond Repair

Even the best-built ponds can eventually have problems. Given enough time, ground settling and erosion can cause leaks in any pond. Don’t hesitate to call an expert; it can save you money and time.

Types of Repairs we perform:

Add new waterfalls to existing ponds
Rebuild poorly constructed and leaky waterfalls
Upgrade and install pumps and filter systems
Patch ponds that have leaky rubber liners
Re-do poorly constructed stonework
Enlarge existing ponds to create healthier environments for fish and plants
Replace faulty pumps

Maintenance

Maintenance is the key to keeping your pond and fish healthy. Here is a list of services we provide:

Monitor water chemistry (pH, ammonia, nitrite, ammonia, alkalinity, general hardness and temperature) and fish health
Clean skimmers and filters
Check pumps to make sure there are no clogs
Top off water and perform water change
Skim surface and bottom of the pond for debris
Add water treatments and dechlorinator as needed
Clean excess algae from streams and waterfalls
Trim and maintain aquatic plants

Building a Pond

When it comes to building a pond it is better to hire a professional. If you are going to tackle this project on your own, it is best to hire an expert for a consultation, so they can give you a lot of tips and pointers so you don’t run into any major problems. (see more to left of page)
